Monday, February 4 - General Meeting & Discussion the Way Forward
Thanks to a large and politically attentive gathering of drug users' activists last week, the San Francisco Human Rights Commission now fully understands that there is whole lot of hurt out there in our community. Who wouldn't be shell-shocked if you think about it. Forty two years of an unjust and unprecedented attack on the civil liberties of Americans (the Drug Wars), 25 years of HIV/AIDS, stigmatization and the lack of access to health care is the context that we face daily as we organize ourselves into united voice.
We will return this month to see our recommendations get taken up by the full commission.
FOR MORE INFORMATION: PLEASE ATTEND OUT GENERAL MEETING, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH AT 5:30PM. PLACE: SF-0DUU OFFICE, 149 Turk Street (between Taylor and Jones).
